Hyperion FDMEE not starting - Weblogic issue
Recently we had a scenario where our FDMEE service would start, but the application will not open up in Workspace.
After logging into Weblogic Console http://servername:7001/console we noticed that the ERPIntegrator service said Starting.
We applied the following fix:
1. Stop all FDMEE services
2. Move the WLS_DIAGNOSTICS(number).DAT files from the \Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\ErpIntegrator0\data\store\diagnostics folder and move to a different folder.
3. The files can be deleted after the managed server has started.
4: Start FDMEE services
Issue was with Weblogic DAT files in the folder being created on each service restart

Planning and Smartview connection issue - Invalid User and Password message is misleading
We had a situation where users were unable to use Smartview with Planning and getting error message that Invalid User ID/Password.
Once we asked the users to use Workspace, they got a message that "Application is in Maintenance Mode and no connections are allowed". We asked the HP admin to make the application available to users. This resolved the issue.
The Smartview message was misleading and it caused many users to lockout their AD accounts.

Hyperion DRM Query record limit
Recently we had an issue while running various queries in DRM, we would only get 5000 records. While looking at System Preferences, this was discovered.
You can go into Administer, System Preferences and then WarnHL.
Default limit is 5000 records. You can change this limit to a higher number, save the changes and re-run your queries.

Hyperion Calculation Manager Issues With Hyperion Planning
Tuning considerations
- In the calcMgrConfig.properties file you may want to increase the HBR.timeout to 60000 and remove the comment # from this row
- In addition to traditional java settings of Xms and Xms you may want to consider increasing the default stack size as well –Xss
- Oracle recommends rules that take longer than one hour to be run in batch, not on the web but if you have some that take longer, consider increasing the session timeout on the web application server
11.1.2.x
Most issues with calculation manager will be captured in one of the following logs by default:
