11.2.4 Workspace - Text does not appear in Announcements on HomePage
From the User Guide:“New announcements are displayed when you first open the Home page. You can also click on an announcement to read it. (Messages are set up by administrators in Workspace Server Settings - Navigate, then Administer, then Workspace Settings, and then Server Settings.)”
Are there other settings that need to be updated for the message to show under Announcements on the Home Page?
Yes, you will also need to update the "Client Message Polling Interval" value from its default setting of zero. The "Client Message Polling Interval" can be found just below the button for the "Message File:" edit button in Workspace Server Settings.

Client Message Polling Interval Time interval for checking new messages. The value entered is in minutes. A value of zero disables messaging systems and newly logged-on users do not receive messages. Default is 0.
