 Oracle EPM - Enabling AI in Financial Consolidation and Close for IPM Insights

Enable AI in Financial Consolidation and Close to empower users with data science optimized for multidimensional planning and forecasting use cases and to utilize Reports to generate narrative summaries.

To enable AI in Financial Consolidation and Close:

1. From the Home Page, click Application, and then click Settings.
2. In the Enable AI section, select Generative AI to enable these abilities:

   • Automatically generate narrative summaries for a single insight or group of insights.

   • Enable Gen AI narrative summaries for Reports.
3. Click Save.

Oralce EPM Assistants in FCCS (Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud)

Financial Consolidation and Close provides EPM assistants to perform administrative and operational tasks.

EPM Assistants are available to Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management and Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Data Management customers who have AI Agent Studio for Fusion Cloud Applications.

The assistants are available as importable agents that integrate with Fusion AI Studio, enabling a chat-based experience.

EPM Assistants

• Calculation Assistant to Create Configurable Consolidation Rules for Administrators

  Helps Service Administrators create Configurable Consolidation rules with rulesets, or add new rules to an existing ruleset. 

• By providing a guided framework, the Calculation Agent Assistant reduces the complexity and time involved in setting up Configurable Consolidation rules.

• Consolidation Performance Diagnostic Assistant for Administrators

  Service Administrators can run the diagnostic assistant to automatically identify deviations from standard configurations, proactively highlighting potential application corruptions or misconfigurations. 

• It suggests actionable next steps based on consolidation job analytics.

Oracle EPM Working with the Reporting Agent

Oracle EPM Reporting Agent, also known as "Ask Oracle", is a GenAI-powered agent available in Narrative Reporting Library and Report Preview.

Using Ask Oracle to Search the Library

To search the Narrative Reporting library using Ask Oracle:

1. On the Narrative Reporting Home Page, select Library.
2. In the Ask Oracle search bar at the top of the library, enter a natural-language request, and then click Search.

3. A few examples of the library prompts are:

   • Find a report quickly: Show me a list of Cash Flow reports → Ask Oracle to return matching reports from the Library.

   • Handle an incomplete report name: What is the actual net revenue from the Monthly P&L Report? → Ask Oracle prompts the user to select the intended matching report, then answers using that report context.

   • Locate related artifacts: Find reports that start with Income Statement or Show me books related to financial reporting → Ask Oracle to return relevant Library artifacts for the user to open or review.
