Oracle EPM - FCCS Assistants update !

Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close Assistants Update for July 2026

This EPM Assistant enables Service Administrators to download AI agent templates for integrating Cloud Enterprise EPM or Cloud EDM with Fusion AI Agent Studio

The following assistants are available:

  • Calculation Assistant to Create Configurable Consolidation Rules for Administrators: Helps Administrators create Configurable Consolidation rules with rulesets, or add new rules to an existing ruleset.
  • By providing a guided framework, the Calculation Agent Assistant reduces the complexity and time involved in setting up Configurable Consolidation rules.
  • Consolidation Performance Diagnostic Assistant for Administrators: The diagnostic assistant can automatically identify deviations from standard configurations, proactively highlighting potential application corruptions or misconfigurations.
  • It suggests actionable next steps based on consolidated job analytics.

Business Benefit: The Financial Consolidation and Close Assistants significantly reduce the manual effort and time required for Service Administrators to set up Configurable Consolidation rules, and enable earlier detection of issues, reducing debugging efforts and minimizing downtime due to configuration issues.

EPM Assistants are downloadable templates for creating custom AI agents that interact with Cloud EPM services using REST APIs.

EPM Assistants include sample agent definitions (for instance, based on a Vision application) that you can use as a starting point to create your own custom AI Agents in AI Agent Studio.

When imported into AI Agent Studio, EPM Assistants automatically create:

  • Agent teams – Groups of collaborating agents
  • Agents – Individual AI entities performing tasks
  • Tools – API-based operations that agents can execute
  • Business objects – Representations of Cloud EPM data and processes

These templates do not include application-specific configurations. You must customize them to align with your Cloud EPM business process.

Oracle EPM - Application Diagnostics Tool

Using Oracle EPM Application Diagnostics to Optimize Application Design

Administrators use the Application Diagnostics tool to evaluate application design against Oracle-recommended Essbase and Planning best practices and to identify issues that may affect performance, maintainability, and overall application health.

The tool performs self-service assessments across key design areas, including metadata, dimensions, forms, and executed rules, and identifies potential concerns, such as dimension property settings, form suppression settings, and rules that were launched with errors.

To run Application Diagnostics:

  1. From the Home page, click Application and then click Overview.
  2. From the Actions menu, select Application Diagnostics.

This tool generates an Excel report in the Inbox/Outbox folder containing diagnostic findings, impact details, and recommendations for improvement, enabling administrators to proactively optimize application design and troubleshoot issues more efficiently.

Best Practices for Designing Your Application
