Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud customers or partners can request a temporary loaner environment

Create the service request against the appropriate Service Type; for example, PBCS or FCCS. Be sure to select either Application or Application Setup and Migration as the Problem Type to ensure that the service request is routed correctly to product support.

Do not select Hosting Services as the problem type.

HFM Consolidations are suddenly taking much longer To finish

Users are running consolidations in HFM and they are taking much longer to complete than usual (e.g., more than a half-hour for a consolidation that ordinarily takes about 5 minutes)

Reach out to the system DBA to view table statistics and run standard maintenance activities to improve performance.

More info can be found here: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E57185_01/OHFMA/application_database_maintenance.htm#OHFMA-tuning_169

Hyperion Planning 11.2 User Variables in Preferences are Incorrectly Displayed when Two or More Planning Applications are Open

When logged into two different Planning applications only the User Variables for the first application opened are displayed in the Preferences.

File > Preferences > Planning > User Variable Options

The variables displayed are for the first application which was opened.  It is a Bug.

To work around the issue until the bug is fixed open the application and expand the "Preferences" on the bottom left panel of the screen and navigate to the "User Variable Options" tab which shows the correct variables for the application.

Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) Missing Security and Metadata Load Options after Upgrade to 11.2

Load Application Elements does not provide a Security or Metadata option.

Upgrade to 11.2 from prior release where HFM application used EPMA in prior release.

The issue caused by HFM Schema Upgrade not setting HFM 11.2 application to classic after the upgrade.  Unpublished bug 30879668 created for this issue.

DBA will need to manually run the following:

UPDATE <APP_NAME>_PARAMETERS SET Value = 'HFM' WHERE Name ='APPMODE';
COMMIT;

This will change the application from an EPMA enabled application, which is no longer supported in 11.2, to a classically managed application.

This is application-specific so you must run on each application.

No Restart is required, just close the "Load Application Elements" tab and re-open.
